Hi Michael. I want to ask you about 1 Corinthians 15 45. The NASB in part says the first man adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. So to me this shows that Jesus was ressurected as a spirit . So for him to live in heaven, he had to have a sprit body in heaven….not a body of flesh and blood.
Great question! I don’t deny that Christ has a spiritual nature just as we do. Christ is not merely a man, but also fully divine. This is why Paul can say the “fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.” (Col. 2:9) And even though Christians are not divine in this way, those who are born again are spirit (John 3:6). That is, we “are spirit” if we have been born again. Yet, we still have physical bodies. Similarly, Jesus is a spirit but also a physical man. That is how Paul can say Jesus is a “man” when speaking in the present tense. (1 Tim. 2:5)
