Is it wrong to expose the Jehovah’s Witnesses as a false religion?

NOT ACCORDING TO THE WATCHTOWER:

*** w63 11/15 p. 688 par. 3 Execution of Divine Judgment upon False Religion ***

Can there be false religion? It is not a form of religious persecution for anyone to say and to show that another religion is false. It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion. But in order to make the exposure and show the wrong religions to be false, the true worshiper will have to use an authoritative means of judgment, a rule of measurement that cannot be proved faulty. To make a public exposure of false religion is certainly of more value than exposing a news report as being untrue; it is a public service instead of a religious persecution and it has to do with the eternal life and happiness of the public. Still it leaves the public free to choose.

  1. Absolutely, IF a religion is teaching something that is false, It should be revealed, including jehovah’s Witnesses. However, having something wrong within your history does not, in and of itself, make a religion categorically false.

One only needs to think of the days of the Israelites and there many spiritual diversions and false ideas to know that God did not reject them initially, but attempted to correct them. They were eventually rejected after many attempts to correct them.

There is no reason to think that correcting a former view that is discerned to have been in error would therefore make the religion categorically false.

  2. I agree corrections sometimes need to be made. However, when an organizaiton has a long history of corrections and a long history of false prophecies (inspired or otherwise). It might be a good time to run and not walk to your nearest exist.

  3. True, it might be, but then it might not be. The proof should be found within the teachings that have remained consistent and are solidly established within the scriptures. Surely, the body of Christ would not remain in consistent error when ti comes to clear teachings within the scriptures. Correction and revision is to be expected as truth is clarified. The wheat and the weeds will continue to be separated until the arrival of Christ at his revelation from heaven Prophecy is never truly understood until it is fulfilled.

Since it is true that God natuarlly organizes his people, at least to some degree, if Jehovah’s Witnesses aren’t collectively being used by God, please demonstrate for me what would be considered second best.

  4. I’m not sure I would call doctrinal “flip-flopping” consistent or clear.

There are many other religions that believe exactly — in fact in some instances adhere much more strictly to their beliefs — as the Watchtower organization. (Christadelphians, Assembly of YHWHHoshua, etc…) What about them?

Really, the bible points to only and way to eternal life and that is through Jesus:

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I AM the way and the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,

2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?

Since God has commanded that we follow his son (yes…aren’t the words of Jesus of his Father?) than if we do not follow him we do not have eternal life.

I would say that would make him the 1ST BEST . . .
