A reader recently pointed out some difficulty in finding various citations per the old WT CD-ROM. Back in those days, it was very difficult for a non-JW to obtain this resource. Thankfully, a few years ago they released it online for anyone to use. I admit that it’s an impressive resource and is especially helpful when citing things online because you can link directly to the exact paragraph cited. Previously, if someone didn’t have the CD-ROM, they basically just had to take someone’s word for it when quoting.
This is going to be a work in progress, but I intend to go through every article on the website where the CD-ROM was cited and update each reference with a link to the online library. I may even, where applicable, update the article where things can be cleaned up or better argued. While it doesn’t seem to be the case that people are reading articles these days (leave a comment here and tell me if you still read blogs if I were to post them!), i’m hoping the updating of the citations in my older articles will prove helpful in years to come for those interested in investigating the Watchtower’s claims.
The first article I updated: https://michaeljfelker.com/2012/11/03/did-the-70-years-end-in-539-b-c-e-or-537/
This was written about 8 years ago, but the argument is solid as far as I can tell. If anyone would like to challenge what I argued, i’m all ears!
